The parties choose the arbitrator by agreement; the office does not appoint an arbitrator on their behalf.

For a three-member tribunal, the parties may authorize the chair to choose the other two members, with a right to object.

Experience
More than ten years across government, the private sector and law firms, in international law, agreements, regulatory compliance and arbitration proceedings. Has served as a member of arbitral tribunals that issued final awards.

Commercial, international commercial, medical, and engineering and construction disputes.

Arabic (native), English (bilingual), Japanese (intermediate).

Sole arbitrator or chair of the tribunal.
